SYSTAM Poly Air 100 Cushion (High Profile)

Polyair cushions are pneumatic air-cell medical cushions used to prevent pressure ulcers. Internal air ventilation channels allow air to circulate between the cells, enabling the cushion to adapt to all morphology types and reducing transcutaneous pressure; air circulating out of the cushion ensures good ventilation and reduces maceration. The cushion is manufactured using a dipping (soaking) process that gives the Laxprene material suppleness and a progressive response to inflation pressure. Indicated where a Stage I-IV pressure sore (EPUAP) is present or where an evaluation scale (Braden, Norton, Waterlow) indicates high to very high risk, including patients with paraplegia, impaired sensation, spasticity, postural asymmetry, vascular amputation or compromised general health. Suitable for wheelchairs, riser recliner chairs and car seats. The Polyair 100 (100mm high profile) is better suited to larger, less active patients with limited mobility and a high pressure sore risk.
